Analysis of trainer adverts.
The function of an advert is to advertise a product that someone has produced, in this case, it is trainers. They use previous sales and information to create a target audience. The target audience for this would probably be a healthy person who likes running and takes good care in themselves. Another target audience for these trainers could be a woman because they are pink. You could specify both of these possibilities and make an assumption that these trainers are aimed at a woman who either has been advised to get healthier or enjoys running anyway.
I'd say that they have used photoshop to make the trainers and the water bottles to look more 'heart like'. They could have done this by adding the photo of a heart into photoshop and putting the trainers and other products on top of it so that it looks more realistic. Also, if it didn't quite fit, they could distort it and make it look more like it is meant to be there.
Personally, I would do something similar to this, but I would add more colour and show more of a different color range so it may appeal to everyone.
This advert is promoting a pair of trainers. The photos look as if the trainers have been splashed with bright colours and the colour scheme that they have chosen could appeal to both boys and girls. This is because the purple and the blue are quite girly colours, but the black and the green colours are quite boyish, so the trainers may appeal to a girl who prefers things like skating and playing football. I don't think that this would appeal to men because the colours are quite childish, however the trainers might appeal to a boy.
I think that they have used a combination of photoshop and images taken on a camera because they could have thrown paint at a wall and added that to photoshop and then got a photo of the trainers and merged them together.
If I were to make an advert like this, I would make it clearer what I was trying to make a statement about because I found it quite difficult to find their 'theme' . I would also use a different colour scheme.
The function of this advert is to emphasize how tough they are. They have achieved this because the shoes are like a shield and are protecting people in the army and everyone knows how difficult the army is, so you think that the trainers will be sturdy and not break after you've worn them a couple of times. This is probably aimed more at men and boys because the army is quite a manly thing to do and not a lot of women sign up. Another reason why this may appeal more to men could e because they have
I think that the people who created this image probably got an image of people being protected by a wall and they have added a few photos that they've taken of their shoes. They have probably duplicated this and created a wall.
If I were to make this advert, I would probably add a female solider as well as a male because it may appeal more to women apposed to what it may do now.
